🌿 Reflection Questions for Ephesians 6

Please read Ephesians 6 and consider some other questions:

Household & Work Relationships (6:1–9)

  1. Obedience and Honor – How does obeying and honoring parents reflect our relationship with God? In what ways can adults still honor their parents?

  2. Parenting with Patience – What does it mean not to “provoke your children to anger”? How can parents balance discipline with encouragement?

  3. Working as unto the Lord – How can we apply the servant–master principle to modern workplace relationships? What does it look like to “serve sincerely, as to Christ”?

Spiritual Warfare & The Armor of God (6:10–20)

  1. Not Against Flesh and Blood – How does knowing our real enemy is spiritual, not human, change how we respond to conflict?

  2. Standing Firm – Paul repeats “stand” multiple times. What does it mean for you to “stand” in your current life struggles?

  3. Armor Application – Which piece of the armor do you most need right now (truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, or the Word)? Why?

  4. Prayer as Warfare – How can prayer serve as both defense and offense in spiritual battles? How can we pray more persistently for each other?

  5. Boldness in Witness – Paul asked for boldness even though he was already courageous. Where do you need boldness in your faith walk?

Closing Encouragement & Challenge (6:21–24)

  1. Community Strength – How can encouragement from other believers, like Paul sending Tychicus, strengthen us in times of trial?

  2. Peace and Grace – Paul ends with a blessing. How can you speak words of peace and grace into someone’s life this week?
