Prayer for Receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit

Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus.
Your Word says:

"So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him."
Luke 11:13 (NLT)

I ask You now to fill me with Your Holy Spirit.
Lord Jesus, You promised this gift:

"John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit... But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses..."
Acts 1:5, 8 (NLT)

I believe Your promise and receive it by faith.
Father, I repent and surrender myself completely to You.

"If we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness."
1 John 1:9 (NLT)

Take my heart, mind, will, and life.
I choose obedience over fear, pride, and self.
Holy Spirit, fill me now. Baptize me with Your presence and power.

"John said to everyone, 'I baptize you with water; but someone is coming soon... He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.'"
Luke 3:16 (NLT)

"Stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven."
Luke 24:49 (NLT)

I welcome You. Lead me, teach me, and transform me.
I receive by faith, not by feelings.

"And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and really believing, you will receive."
Matthew 21:22 (AMP)

Let Your life flow through me.

"Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, 'Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.' (When he said 'living water,' he was speaking of the Spirit...)"
John 7:38-39 (NLT)

Empower me to live holy, obey Your Word,
and boldly testify of Jesus Christ.
Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness.

"The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it."
1 Thessalonians 5:24 (NLT)

I receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit
by faith, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.

After You Pray

Do not try to manufacture anything.
It is not our job to do anything but wait in FAITH.
Do not analyze.
Do not force words.

Remain yielded.
If the Spirit prompts you to speak, worship, pray, or speak in a language you did not learn,
follow the prompt (lead of the Holy Spirit).
The Holy Spirit leads… we respond.
